About the studio
18th Street Arts Center is a Santa Monica nonprofit founded in 1988 that runs artist residencies, exhibitions and community programs. Los Angeles artists hold long-term studio residencies of one to three years on the campus, alongside organizational residents and visiting international artists for one to three months. The public can attend exhibitions in the Atrium Gallery, talks, Arts Learning Lab workshops and open house events, but studios are by residency only.
