About the studio
Ace Makerspace is a volunteer-run community makerspace in Oakland near the Berkeley border with 24/7 member access to five workspaces: a woodshop, textiles, laser cutting, 3D printing, electronics, art, metalwork and a CNC router. Membership combines monthly dues with a monthly contribution of volunteer effort, and members complete safety certification classes before using hazardous tools. Most classes are open to the public with a free guest account.
