About the studio
Ah Haa School for the Arts is a nonprofit community art school in Telluride, more than 30 years old, with classes in ceramics, painting, drawing, textiles, jewelry, bookbinding and culinary arts, pay-what-you-can seasonal classes and the affiliated American Academy of Bookbinding. Its ceramics studio has 12 wheels, handbuilding tables, a slab roller, extruder, low-fire and mid-range kilns and a glaze kitchen, and runs monthly open studio memberships for people who have finished a four-week ceramics class. Painting memberships give 24/7 easel space, and the bookbinding studio rents weekly or monthly bench space.
