About the studio
Angels Gate Cultural Center is a nonprofit arts center in 1940s Army barracks in Angels Gate Park, San Pedro, started by local artists in the 1970s and incorporated in 1982. Its flagship program rents affordable work-only studios to emerging and established artists in any medium. It also runs community classes open to the public, a printmaking studio used for workshops, exhibitions and an annual Open Studios Day.
