About the studio
Chico Art Center is a nonprofit founded in 1955 that supports local and regional artists with free exhibitions, classes, studio groups, a gift shop and the annual Open Studios Art Tour. Classes and studio groups meet in its building on Orange Street, and the classroom is available to rent. Membership supports the center and gives gift shop selling rights, member exhibits and entry discounts rather than studio access.
