About the studio
Desert Art Center is a nonprofit art center in the historic Frances Stevens School in Palm Springs, serving the Coachella Valley since 1950 with exhibits, art education and community outreach. It runs weekly recurring classes in drawing, life drawing, oil, acrylic, watercolor and handbuilt ceramics, plus workshops, and a Thursday evening open studio paid per session. Artist members show in theme shows and juried gallery intakes.
