About the studio
Maker House, formerly Clay Studio Santa Barbara, is a nonprofit community ceramics studio in Goleta serving the greater Santa Barbara area with 8-week classes, workshops, kids programs, private lessons and memberships. Members get unlimited studio access during open hours, unlimited glazing and firing (bisque, cone 5 and cone 10, oxidation and reduction), a shelf and locker, and use of 20 Shimpo Whisper wheels, handbuilding tables, a slab roller and an extruder. The studio also rents seven semi-private associate studios and eight private locking studios.
