About the studio
Maker Nexus is a 28,000-square-foot nonprofit makerspace in Sunnyvale with a woodshop, welding hot shop, machine and metal shops, jewelry and glass tools, a sewing studio with industrial machines and a long-arm quilter, an electronics lab, 3D printers and laser cutters. Members pay monthly for access seven days a week from 10am to 10pm, and each safety class (30% off for members) unlocks more tools. It also runs adult classes, youth camps, team-building events and a Maker Market.
