About the studio
The Mansion House in Hagerstown City Park is the headquarters of the Valley Art Association, a nonprofit founded in 1938, and holds a gallery of member artwork. It hosts uninstructed open-studio figure-drawing sessions with professional models, weekly painting groups for members, and workshops and classes in watercolor, painting, figure drawing and portrait sculpture that non-members can join at a higher fee. Annual membership is open to anyone interested in the arts.
