About the studio
Mendocino Art Center is a coastal nonprofit art center and school on Coastal Pomo land with workshops by local and visiting artists, galleries, figure drawing, a sculpture garden and on-campus lodging for students. It runs year-long and short-term residencies, including an 8-month ceramics residency with 24-hour studio access and housing. The ceramics studio has a glaze lab, slab roller, extruder, clay mixer, two electric and two gas kilns, a wood train kiln and a wood/soda catenary arch kiln.
