About the studio
The Tannery Arts Center is an arts campus on the site of a historic Santa Cruz tannery, opened in 2009 by the City of Santa Cruz and Artspace with 100 live/work lofts for artists and 28 working studios. The studios hold artists, galleries, shops, a printmakers' studio, music and dance schools and the Colligan Theater. Studios are leased to tenants, and the public visits during First Fridays, the county Open Studios tour and markets.
