About the studio
The Clay School is Ithaca's community pottery and arts and craft studio, founded by Julia Dean in 2015, in Artist Alley at the South Hill Business Campus. It has pottery wheels and kilns and runs handbuilding and wheel classes, try-it workshops, labs for enrolled students and youth camps. Experienced potters 16+ can join on monthly memberships from firing-only to 24/7 co-op access, with firing included; the adjacent ART Room has its own membership.
