About the studio
Throw Clay LA is a 7,500-square-foot pottery studio in DTLA South Park founded by potter John Prescott, offering one-time classes, 6-week courses, memberships and private events. Members get open studio hours seven days a week, about 35 Shimpo wheels, a slab roller and extruder, a staff-run gas kiln and three electric kilns, studio glazes and a private shelf. Membership requires previous experience and the ability to make, trim and glaze independently.
