About the studio
Urban Workshop is a 28,000-square-foot membership makerspace and technical training center in Costa Mesa, open since 2014. Members pay monthly or annually and can reserve tools after equipment-specific safety classes, including a full wood shop, textiles area, welding shop, machine shop, CNC mills, laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters and a plastics shop. It also runs public classes, AWS-accredited welder training and youth shop programs.
